Material Detail

A free, independent online textbook of Jewish history and the history of antisemitism, at teachjewishhistory.org. More than twenty-five states now mandate Holocaust education, and the requirement usually arrives without a curriculum. Teach Jewish History fills that gap with the whole arc: the civilization first, then the history of the hatred, the Holocaust, and the decades since, where reckoning came and where it never did. Fifty-nine Chapters across six Units are written to be taught or assigned, with primary sources credited to the institutions that hold them, discussion questions that ask students to reason from documents, and printable PDFs. Eight teacher guides run from the youngest grades through world history, U.S. history and civics, English, and the history of antisemitism itself, and two sample syllabi outline a high-school elective and a college survey. A separate K–5 program provides ready-to-teach early-grades lessons. It is all free, with no logins and no ads. Standards are named on every Chapter (state Holocaust-education mandates; NYS Social Studies Framework; Common Core ELA-Literacy RH.6-8 through RH.11-12), and each Chapter carries a last-updated stamp under a published corrections policy.
