Material Detail

A 12-episode video series for business and IT students, following Valacich and George, Modern Systems Analysis and Design (10th ed., Pearson, 2025). Topics named in the series description include the systems development life cycle and Agile methods, identifying and selecting projects, initiating and planning projects, determining requirements through interviews, observation and prototyping, process, data and logic modeling (data flow diagrams, ER diagrams), designing databases, interfaces and reports, and implementing and maintaining systems. Possible learning goals: compare life cycle and Agile approaches, choose a requirements-gathering method for a case, and read and draw data flow and ER diagrams. Likely users: instructors of a systems analysis and design course in an MIS or CIS program who want pre-class or review material, and students studying on their own. Produced by Dr. Joseph H. Schuessler, Tarleton State University, with the assistance of Google's NotebookLM. It is a companion to the textbook, not a replacement for it.
