Material Detail

A browser-based tool for generating a box plot and five-number summary from a numerical dataset. Learners can use it to check manually calculated summaries and compare the median, quartiles and spread of data. Suggested exercise: students calculate the five-number summary for a teacher-provided dataset by hand, use the tool to check their work, and explain how changes to individual data values affect the plot. Useful for classroom demonstrations, independent practice and introductory statistics.
