EduThink is a free, Spanish-language web platform that helps university students and lifelong learners practise critical thinking through writing. Learners work through five progressive levels (facts vs. opinions; cognitive biases; source evaluation with the CRAAP method; arguments and fallacies; synthesis for decision-making). Each level combines a short reading, exercises with immediate feedback and a writing task that an AI assistant assesses against Paul and Elder's nine universal intellectual standards (clarity, accuracy, precision, relevance, depth, breadth, logic, significance and fairness), rating each as Achieved, In progress or Needs improvement, with justifications quoting the learner's own text, the weakest standard identified and a Socratic question to keep thinking. The AI never rewrites or solves the task and explicitly acknowledges its limits when a text contains verifiable claims. With an account, the platform keeps progress and analyses, computes a Critical Thinking Practice Index (0–100), displays a nine-standard radar and an evolution chart, produces a downloadable personal report and issues a verifiable certificate upon completion of the five levels. Teachers can create groups and follow their students; institutions get pseudonymised, aggregated indicators by programme and cohort. Developed at the Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit (Mexico); registered with Mexico's copyright office (INDAUTOR).
EduThink won second place in the 2026 Teaching Leadership in Educational AI award (Santander Open Academy · Innova Forum · Universidad de Guadalajara), category Formative assessment and personalised feedback.
