Material Detail

truedistance.org builds solar system models in which sizes and distances share one scale factor. You say how much room you have (classroom, hallway, schoolyard) and the site calculates the size of the Sun, the planets and the Moon and how far apart they sit. The printable sheets (A4 and US Letter) show one body per sheet at its true size, with set-up instructions and a 100 mm check line to detect printer scaling. A section for teachers describes two model variants. All figures come from JPL Horizons (NASA/JPL). The whole site is licensed CC BY 4.0, free of charge, ad-free and without sign-up.
