This open textbook is being utilized in a HDFS course for undergraduate or graduate students by Shanell Tyus, M.S. at California State University, Bakersfield. The open textbook provides a brief explanation of how to write paper in APA format. The main motivation to adopt an open textbook was reduce cost for students. Most students access the open textbook in via computer, tablet, or mobile device. This course previously used Week by Week: Plans for Documenting Children’s Development 8th ed is $272.95 in paperback. The Week by Week is the book I inherited with the course and used to adapt to the OER material.
