RNA Processing (post-transcriptional modifications)

This is a module from the Supersite, "DNA From the Beginning." This learning object explains how RNA transcripts are sometimes edited (modified) prior to translation into protein. Animations are also provided to show how restriction enzymes can be used to study DNA. The Supersite contains many other animated tutorials on DNA, genes and heredity. The science behind each concept is explained using animations, an image gallery, video interviews, problems, biographies, and links. There are three sections for the Supersite including Classical Genetics, Molecules of Genetics, and Organization of Genetic Material. Key features are the clear explanations of classical experiments and excellent photographs of researchers and their labs.
