SISYPHOS: Internet Resources for Egyptology, Ancient Near Eastern Studies, and Classical Archaeology

SISYPHOS is an Archaeology Database containing professional resources (websites/ articles/publications) about ancient Egypt dealing with all aspects of Pharaonic civilization (sculpture, language, art, archaeology, history and religion, including Coptic (Christian) Egypt and history/archaeology of Sudan. In addition, SISPHOS comprises resources about ancient Near Eastern/Asian civilizations/cultures (Middle East/Indus/Scythians/Caucasus), including Classical Archaeology (Greek/Roman/Minoan/Mycenaean/Etruscan/and Roman provinces). In June 2014, the SISPHOS Internet database was moved from Heidelburg University to the Internet Publishing Company Propylaeum.  Documents/Resources can also be located at the Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog (KVC) and Berlin National Library.
