These six exercises were developed by the Foundation for Teaching Economics (FTE) which was established to improve economic education in the U.S. The web site is oriented toward high school students, but can be used for first year Economics classes. Users are permitted to copy the information for classroom use. The six exercises involve the concepts of: Demand, Exchange, Transaction costs, Supply, Marginal analysis, and Market clearing price . The problems involve the student applying concepts learned in the classroom to current news events.
