Dr Sanjoy Sanyal Professor and Course Director of Neuroscience in Caribbean created this latest video of Lumbar Puncture demonstration on the Gaumard (R) digital mannikin.

After a introductory panoramic shot of the students of Med 3 Neuroscience students in Summer 2014 semester, the LP Tuohy Needle was demonstrated, followed by the steps of Lumbar Puncture, till the simulated CSF was seen dripping out.

Some caveats, pitfalls, precautions, preliminaries and diagnostic maneuvers are also highlighted.

Camera person is the illustrious Mark Lessard, IT Administrator, with his high resolution Sony HDR XR 520 video camera. The original MTS file has been rendered in MPEG format for ease of upload.
