This applet computes the thermodynamic properties of a system with fixed energy levels. The user can set the levels and the program generates the Boltzmann distribution, population of levels, partition function, energy, and heat capacity as functions of the temperature.

Applet is useful once you understand what is going on. Some explanation would have helped.
