This video was recorded at European Summer School in Logic, Language and Information. This course offers a new kind of introduction to logic, merging traditional basic themes on inference and expressive power of languages with modern developments: connections between logic, cognition, and social interaction. The course introduces propositional and predicate logic as ways of describing the world, and then moves on to logics of knowledge, information, action, communication, and games. In doing so, it presents logic as a central topic across the university spectrum.
