Lecture 1: Object-Oriented Programming
This video was recorded at 6.01SC Introduction to Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, I Spring 2011. In this session, we introduce you to some of the core concepts of 6.01. We will also focus on programming, in particular the object-oriented programming paradigm in Python. Topics include primitives, expressions, assignments, functions, environments, OOP, and inheritance. The overview handout provides a more detailed introduction, including the big ideas of the session, key vocabulary, what you should understand (theory) and be able to do (practice) after completing this session, and additional resources.
