Beyond Pervasive Computing

This video was recorded at MIT World Series - 2002 TR100 Symposium. Pervasive computing-the idea that wired and wireless computing services and applications will be available anytime/anywhere-is becoming realized. Now, computer scientists are taking the next step: promoting proactive, or attentive, computing, in which computers and sensors don't just respond to users, but anticipate their needs-through agents, data mining, sense-making and other software advances.
