This video was recorded at THE NEXT STEP International Conference of Museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, Ljubljana 2009. Museums in countries that used to be relatively isolated seem especially interested in including their local art in the broader international context. How can this international context - always specific, yet also global and, at the same time, subsumed in a given international region, such as Eastern Europe or South America - be problematized?
