Everything is compromised, yet much is rewarding

This video was recorded at The Next Step: Project Architecture 2009 - Ljubljana. I will argue, through contemporary examples, that architecture is never a "pure" or "perfect" art; that, whereas much has been used as a tool for capitalism or power-mongering, that does not mean such "used" work (or elements of it) must be architecturally corrupted; and that plenty of soul-nourishing architecture gets built under even the most constricting social/cultural conditions
