Skills & Interests

  • Education/TeacherEd/Teaching Methods/Foreign Language (Advanced)
I teach Spanish language classes at the undergraduate level in college. I think I have lots of good ideas to share with others, but I am always willing to hear others' ideas to improve my own teaching.
  • Humanities/World Languages/Spanish/Culture (Advanced)
I teach Spanish at the college level, with my major focus being on teaching culture through literature. I also teach language classes, trying to incorporate as much cultural information as possible into the teaching of the language.
  • Humanities/English/Literature (Intermediate)
I have a preference for using literature as a means to teach culture, so my cultural teaching skills are stronger than my literary teaching skills. However, I have a strong background in literature, and am looking for interesting and effective ways to teach literature to students whose language skills are still in need of development.
  • Science and Technology/Instructional Technology (Intermediate)
I firmly believe that language instruction can be enhanced through the use of instructional technology, and incorporate it in all the various ways I can. I am also always on the lookout for new technologies that I can master and pass on to my students to improve my teaching or their learning.
  • Education/TeacherEd/Diversity and Multicultural Ed (Beginner)
This is a topic that is very important to me. Although I don't get the chance to teach classes explicitly on this topic, I would be interested in learning about ways to include such content within my regular language and literature classes.
