BrainRush is a game-based idea focused on the concept that any curriculum lesson can be converted into a review game. Instructors create "brainrushes" based on one of four templates (flashcards, buckets, sequences or hotspots) or use/edit any of the available "brainrushes" in the library for their students. Through these timed, repetetive games, students practice the concept. If a student misses a question, the program will include that question repeatedly throughout the rest of the review until a student reaches mastery.

BrainRush desribes their approach as a formula of "Think+Act+Adapt+Flow+Master+Review".

Students earn "Genius points" based on time and accuracy.
