Host a job fair in the classroom with programs that aptly describe a variety of jobs in 16 major fields. Each program gives a summary of the types of jobs in the field, and then focuses on four specific yet broadly representative positions (for example, Hospitality and Tourism looks at a travel agent, a hotel manager, a baker, and a waitress). Interviews and on-the-job footage of professionals (along with narration) indicate what interests may lead someone into that particular career, the educational or training requirements, upsides and drawbacks, rough salary ranges, and the personality traits needed to excel and advance.
