The theory aims "to provide a detailed theoretical account of how and why teachers do what they do 'on line' � that is, while they are engaged in the act of teaching." In addition, this 99-page PDF contains several illustrative case studies, in which Schoenfeld provides an analysis of a piece of instruction to show "the ways that lessons evolve as a function of the beliefs, goals, and knowledge that teachers possess."
