Engineering Statics with Supplemental Instruction

Historical data demonstrates that a large number of students perform poorly in this fundamental engineering course.  Changes to the curriculum for the upcoming semester conversion will require that students achieve a "C or better" for Statics, which has the potential to create a significant repeat rate and backlog in the curriculum.  This course redesign was aimed at integrating Supplemental Instruction (SI) into an engineering Statics course to investigate potential improvement in student performance.
