A Lesson on “Accessibility in Digital Learning Materials” Using Jigsaw Learning: A Cooperative Learning Method

The presentation is a lesson on “Accessibility in Digital Learning Materials.” The Jigsaw Learning method of instruction divides content into sections which are then studied by student groups in the class. After the content of each section is synthesized by the students, the groups reconvene, and each group teaches the rest of the class about the particular content that the group focused on. The process contains four steps: Introduction, Focused Exploration, Reporting and Reshaping, and Integration and Evaluation. At the end, the instructor can collect keywords and assemble a "Wordle" to use as the course tile in Canvas.
