Cornell Lab of Ornithology

Cornell Lab of Ornithology

From the website... The Lab is a nonprofit membership institution whose mission is to interpret and conserve the earth’s biological diversity through research, education, and citizen science focused on birds. Our programs work with citizen scientists, government and nongovernment agencies across North America and beyond. We believe that bird enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels can and do make a difference.  This site is for bird lovers of all ages in which you can explore multimedia images of birds, feeding behavior, and how to attract birds in order to observe them.  Learn about issues related to birds such as the avian flu and the decline of migratory bird flyways as habitat, or participate in "citizen scientist" studies and projects on cavity-nesting birds and/or on population counts via eBird.  There is also a new collection of audio clips featuring voices of all the North American owls and video clips of urban bird studies.
