The learning object takes a hypermedia (non-linear) approach to the study of thermal spraying processes. It supports a variety of learning objectives. Study can be self-directed or instructor-led. The object provides an overview of thermal spraying processes. The overview proceeds from a standard classification diagram but also includes a classification diagram based on economic and technical considerations. The material takes into consideration basic process characteristics, process parameters, process technology, and process applications. It includes one very brief animation and one very brief video clip. The primary language is English, but many glosses are given in Estonian.
