This lesson plan is designed for self-discovery learning of Colonial Williamsburg utilizing a webquest. It is designed for 5th grade student to meet Michigan Social Studies GLCE's. The students follow a work packet and are responsible for writing a newspaper article in the end where they visualize themselves as a child in Colonial Williamsburg. They should be able to identify the different types of families that were present and the differences among their lifestyles in Colonial times.
