This is a video on how to extract your own DNA. It would usefull as a lab, for middle school and above. It seems very simple (I didn't try it myself...), and I think it would useful to give a viceral and empirical understanding of biological concepts. It doesn't have any background information about DNA or the process of soap breaking down membranes, but that info is availalbe elsewhere. 

The background banjo track is snappy too.
