Many people were involved in the development of California’s Early Childhood Educator Competencies—including project leaders, an advisory board, project staff, and advisers from the WestEd Center for Child and Family Studies, staff from the California Department of Education and First 5 California, early childhood education stakeholder organizations, and members of the public who provided input through focus groups and by posting comments on a designated Web site.
