Maternal and child health has become an unexpected enormous interest of mine once the beginning I had my first lecture due to me wanting to ensure to the best of my abilities in my scope of practice to help these mothers have a comfortable labor and have someone there for them teaching them on what to do once their child is born. Completion of this assignment allowed me to explore a very controversial issue that I’ve known about for years and wanted to learn both sides of the argument. This will allow me to apply the information absorbed when confronted with a mother who is interested in preserving her placenta for consumption or would like information on the subject.
