Faculty from ATD colleges that participated in the Every Learner Everywhere initiative discuss how they’ve brought adaptive learning into their courses, and how it has altered teaching and learning for them and their students.
There is often the misconception that adaptive courseware is an automated, turnkey solution that requires little customization to be effective. However, the truth is it is the courseware that needs to be adapted: to the subject matter of the course, a faculty member's approach to teaching, the students, and so on. The reality is that integrating adaptive courseware into the classroom takes time to get right. During this webinar, faculty from ATD colleges that participated in the Every Learner Everywhere (ELE) Initiative will discuss their experiences integrating adaptive courseware into their classrooms. ELE is a network of organizations, which includes Achieving the Dream, with expertise in evaluating, implementing, scaling, and measuring the efficacy of education technologies, curriculum and course design strategies, teaching practices, and support services that personalize instruction. In this session, faculty from ELE colleges will discuss how adaptive learning influenced their classroom practice, the outcomes the use of adaptive courseware has had on their students, and the role adaptive learning has played during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
