Keene State biology professor Karen Cangialosi speaks on how using open pedagogy teaching methods stimulated her students’ interest and motivation. Montgomery College has been pioneering Open Pedagogy Fellowship with faculty from various disciplines across campuses who work in teams to create “renewable assignments” to encourage students to become change agents in their own community. The program is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are a set of 17 goals that address an array of issues designed to achieve and maintain social justice in and around the community.
