Conservation landscapes work with nature, incorporating environmental site design, low impact development, non-invasive native and beneficial plants, and integrated pest management to create diverse and resilient landscapes and shorelines that help protect clean air and water, support wildlife, and provide a healthier and more beautiful human environment. 

Conservation landscapes build connectivity of our natural or green infrastructure into the landscape and along our shorelines using natural and nature-based solutions like living shorelines, native plant buffers, rain gardens, green roofs, cisterns, permeable pavement, and eco-friendly lawns that reduce the use of fertilizers and increase the use of native plantings in landscape beds.
