There are two goals of the nutrition for health provider course. First, providing foundational information of nutrition. Second, utilizing the nutrition information for the future patient care. This assignment focuses highly on the second goal. When it comes to a patient care, nutrition is critical. Chances are much higher to get type 2 diabetes if I only consume junk food. Also, patients’ healing and recovery process will be much slower if they only consume junk food. Thus, suggesting a good nutrition plan has been a pivotal portion of medical care. However, coming up with a specific nutrition plan per week (or a month) can be challenging without a consultation of dietitian/nutritionist if one’s training background is non-nutrition area (physicians, dentists, physician assistants, physical therapists.. etc) Thus, with the help of generative AI, students may be able to experience a specific weekly nutrition planning without receiving nutritionists guidance. Also, if a student can build a weekly health nutrition plan, this activity will actually be beneficial even if they have a guidance with nutritionists. To be specific, a student can identify and understand a specific monthly nutrition plan from a nutritionist and potentially make some suggestion depending on specific condition of one’s patient. Thus, for this assignment, we are trying to build a weekly diet plan for an imaginary future patients.
