This course will also involve critical evaluation of published literature on grape and wine research. Topics of the course include History of Research in Viticulture and Enology; Current Priorities and Needs for Viticulture and Enology Research; Funding Sources for Viticulture and Enology Research; Experimental Design and Data Analysis for Vineyard and Winery Experiments; Integration of Plant Physiology and Viticulture Research, Integration of Chemistry, Microbiology, and Enology Research; Integration of Viticulture and Enology Research; Societies and Journals in Viticulture and Enology; Publication and Dissemination in Viticulture and Enology; and Efficiency Assessment of Viticulture and Enology Research Projects.
