The Authority Project is a three-part information literacy workshop series designed to help students critically evaluate information across contemporary information environments. Through guided exploration of digital media platforms, scholarly communication systems, and generative AI tools, students examine how authority is constructed, communicated, and interpreted in different contexts. The workshops emphasize critical inquiry, source evaluation, algorithmic awareness, AI literacy, and responsible information use. Activities, worksheets, assessments, and instructor resources support implementation in honors programs, first-year seminars, information literacy courses, and undergraduate research settings.
