PAC-MAN Radicals

Logo for PAC-MAN Radicals
This is a short video animation on radical chain reactions.  The video uses the analogy of PAC-MAN as the radical initiator and is designed to assist students in visualizing radical chain reactions on longer alkane chains.  The video focuses mainly on the initiation and propagation steps in the radical chain reaction mechanism with students being allowed to complete the termination steps at the end of the video.

I used this video as a part of a "Flipped classroom" experiment that I have been piloting this summer with my organic chemistry class.  They loved it and it helped them to understand the concept of the radical chain reaction.
