Material Detail

This site offers a collection of professional development activities which can be used to develop an understanding of inquiry and the elements of inquiry teaching. Each activity is briefly written up and illustrated to give an overview. The Exploratorium Institute for Inquiry works with elementary-school educators to give them an opportunity to personally experience the process of learning science through inquiry. They hope to stimulate thinking about how to create classrooms that are supportive environments for children's inquiry at the elementary-school level.
