August 2016 - This link was corrected. Since traditional faculty peer review forms are no longer sufficient for reviewing on-line courses, this rubric should be helpful to faculty needing support. The rubric is for faculty to use to develop or to peer review on-line courses. It was initially compiled through the Web-Initiative-in-Teaching project (1998-2002) sponsored by the 13 campuses of the University System of Maryland and was later refined through a national Delphi technique (McMahon lead).
