This animation displays how reactions are driven by energy changes and how enzymes increase the rates at which reactions take place. In the introduction, students can view how long an uncatalyzed reaction takes place versus the rate of a catalyzed reaction. In the next section, students can view and read about the concept of free energy. Transition state is the third section and the final sections provides ample information about enzymes/catalysts. Throughout the animations, there will be pop-up questions asked pertaining to the material presented.
