CircuitSim is a circuit simulator with a full SPICE engine that runs entirely in the browser, with nothing to install. Students build schematics from a library of 3,000+ components and run seven analysis types: interactive simulation, interactive operating point, transient, AC sweep, DC operating point, DC sweep, and parameter sweep. A custom component builder accepts pasted SPICE model text or KiCad symbols for parts not in the catalog.

The free tier includes five saved circuits and the core analyses, which covers most introductory coursework. For classes, group licenses provide private student seats: students open an instructor's link and begin working without creating accounts or providing email addresses, which keeps classrooms FERPA and COPPA compliant. Because it is fully browser-based, it runs on Chromebooks and managed lab machines.

CircuitSim also imports Multisim Live circuit files (.msjs and .ms14), which is relevant for courses migrating before Digilent retires Multisim Live on September 15, 2026. Suitable for introductory circuits, electronics I/II, and lab courses in engineering, engineering technology, and physics programs, at both university and high school level (including PLTW-style courses).
