These notes on surfaces have been developed with a didactic approach, with the aim of facilitating the understanding of surfaces within the Industrial Drawing course. They are intended for application across various engineering degrees, including the Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the Degree in Mechanical Engineering, the Dual Degree in Thermal Engineering, the Degree in Mechanical Design Engineering, and the Degree in Industrial Technology Engineering. The content is organized into three thematic blocks. The first, dedicated to the definition and classification of surfaces, presents a systematic classification based on their generation (ruled or double-curved) and their capacity for development onto a plane (developable or warped). It includes the main types and subtypes commonly addressed in this subject. The second, on surface development, addresses the graphical procedures used to obtain it, distinguishing between surfaces that have an exact development and those that require approximation techniques. The third focuses on the intersection of surfaces, presenting the graphical methods needed to solve the different cases that may arise. This material is designed as a support resource for both theoretical classes and the solving of practical exercises, contributing to the development of students' spatial visualization and graphical representation skills.
