Material Detail

A printable, one-page tmux cheat sheet for beginners. It covers 38 keys and commands for starting tmux, detaching and reattaching, sessions, windows and panes, settings in ~/.tmux.conf, and scrolling and copying with vi keys. Rows are grouped by what the student wants to do (for example "Start, detach, and come back") rather than alphabetically, and commands that cannot be undone are marked in red.

It is available as a PDF (A4 landscape), PNG images and a web page, in English and Japanese. It is free with no sign-up and licensed CC BY 4.0, so instructors can hand it out in class or adapt it with attribution.

Each key on the sheet links to the lesson that teaches it, where students can practice it in a simulated terminal in the browser.
