A presentation was delivered to a community of librarians and faculty in the United Kingdom at the UKSG seminar on November 3, 2026.  The presentation described how augmenting quantiative and qualitative research methods with AI can provide high quality, scaffolding support for researchers who are not statisticians to decide and implement the appropriate analyses as well as autodrafting the finds in APA format.  There are multiple opportunities where the research guides the research process.   The presentation also reviews the significant efficiencies in conducting qualitiative analyses as well an improving the quality of the analyses by guiding the researcher through critical stages of the the research methods, including choosing a qualitative analysis framework to apply to the data, using inductive or deductive coding strategies, and organizing the themes, codes, and excerpts to easier evaluation.
