Rubrics for Evaluating Open Education Resource (OER) Objects

Rubrics for Evaluating Open Education Resource (OER) Objects

These rubrics come from Achieve, an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit education reform organization dedicated to working with states to raise academic standards and graduation requirements, improve assessments, and strengthen accountability.  They form an evaluation system for OER objects that include images, applets, lessons, units, and assessments.  They can be applied across content areas and object types.  They are typically used to rate the potential, not actual, effectiveness of a particular object in a learning environment.  Rubric VIII, pages 10-11, is entitled and devoted to Assurance of Accessibility Standards.  This rubrics document is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License.  To view a copy of this license, visit...
