Truthout.org is a news source. Truthout covers mainstream news as well as the lesser heard stories of the news. The lesser heard stories of the news is what Truthout specializes in. It is a more liberal news site, giving it the ability to take the “not so familiar” news stories and elaborate on them. There are many public discussions on Truthout. There are “town meetings” which are discussions open to the public allowing individuals to post their opinion on the news. This feature also allows for others to read what has been posted. Topics range from current events, to women’s health, to your rights as a citizen. Old news that is posted on Truthout is archived for easy retrieval. The site is user friendly and easy to navigate with links being clearly marked.
