This is the fourth module in "DNA from the Beginning". DNA from the Beginning is an animated tutorial on DNA, genes and heredity. The science behind each concept is explained using animations, an image gallery, video interviews, problems, biographies, and links. This module introduces the concept fo dominant and recessive alleles using Mendel's hybrid crosses of peaswith different versions of a trait. The gallery has pictures of a statue of Mendel and Mendel's face on a coin, there are some audio files of Robert Olby discussing the distribution of Mendel's paper and the lack of publicity it received. The biography section discusses the lack of interest in Mendel's paper. There is also a simple question about how to determine which allele is the dominant one.
