This site was created to focus on the 13 (8 astronauts, 2 candidates in training, 1 retired, 2 international space agencies) Hispanic men and women who have participated in the NASA Career Astronauts program and are members of the NASA astronaut corps. Their links have been compiled from NASA Johnson Space Center Astronauts web site and listed below to facilitate their quick reference. It is exciting and inspiring to see that the 2004 Astronaut class includes two Latinos. We hope you enjoy reading their biographies and some of the included Spanish interviews. You may also want to read the NASA Fact Sheet (1.5M pdf) about Hispanic American Space Explorers (November 2003).
