This is an activity that allows elementary statistics students to practice working out problems that involve the normal distribution and the Central Limit Theorem for both means and sums.  Some problems involve finding probabilities and others involve finding x given a probability.  Students are taken though the steps that involve first writing down the distribution, then shading in the normal curve, then identifying what is being asked for, then finding the probability or value of x, and finally understanding whether the normality assumption was necessary.
