Career Stage Differences in Pre-Tenure Track Faculty Perceptions of Professional and Personal Relationships with Colleagues

This study examined the relationship between pre-tenure faculty members in different career stages during their tenure process and their perceptions of professional and personal relationships with senior colleagues and peers. Bauer's newcomer adjustment model was applied to understand how professional relationships with colleagues shape pre-tenure faculty member's organizational socialization. Based on their findings, several policy recommendations are offered.
