Abstract This work presents a standardized visual system for teaching endocrine regulation through progressively complex causal models. Building on established physiological principles, we introduce a three-tier framework that: 1) Core Physiology: Represents basic feedback loops using bidirectional radial axes and causal vectors. 2) Pathophysiological Integration: Demonstrates failure modes through open-loop and closed-loop collapse paradigms. 3) Clinical Correlation: Anchors high-yield disorders to specific vector configurations. The models employ consistent visual grammar across all tiers: - Parameters as radial axes (↑/↓ states) - Regulatory relationships as directional vectors - Pathologic states as anchored text modules. Designed to reduce cognitive load, this system enables pattern recognition across endocrine axes while maintaining fidelity to consensus mechanisms. Its layered structure supports adaptive teaching, from preclinical instruction to clinical reasoning, without requiring theoretical prerequisites. Classroom implementation aims improved learner performance in mapping regulatory disruptions to clinical presentations.
Methodology Notice: All diagrams in this manuscript were created using the Dr Mihăilă Graphic System®, a standardized visual method for transforming causal relationships into intuitive geometric models (multi‑axis structures and circular‑arc feedback systems). This graphical methodology has been fully detailed in our foundational work and is applied here to the specific domain addressed in this manuscript.
