This intervention took place in a second year, intermediate elective in the Bachelor of Business in International Tourism Management. The longer-term intention is to embed the activity in a core law unit, which would be an appropriate permanent home for the activity given that ethics is taught within this unit.

The purpose intervention is to build on academic skills development covered in first year units and to raise awareness of the link between ethical behaviour and academic integrity.  The materials associated with this activity include teaching notes and a scenario-based student quiz. The quiz, which ideally would be delivered online, includes a set of five scenarios, presented as conundrums, that students complete prior to class.  The scenarios introduce students to Academic Integrity and its application in a variety of possible contexts they might encounter in their study.

A powerpoint presentation to be used for discussion following the quiz about ethics and ethical reasoning is also available.
